The Singularity Group appoints Juergen Eck, Felix Reiff and André Hugentobler to members of the Expert Advisory Board.
We are strengthening our Expert Advisory Board: Juergen Eck, former CEO of BRAIN AG, and Felix Reiff, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bayer (Schweiz) AG and CEO of Bayer Consumer Care AG, Basel, and André Hugentobler, Global Innovation Director CASE at Trinseo, will become part of our global TSG Think Tank for innovation trends.
“We are proud to welcome three pioneers and proven experts in the specialist areas of Advanced Materials, Life Sciences, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and industrial biotechnology to our network of advisers. They all share an innovation mindset and passion for exponential technologies,” says Dr. Aleksandra W. Gadzala, who heads the international Expert Advisory Board as Head of Research. “The Expert Advisory Board is at the core of our investment strategy and helps us, among other things, to identify true value creation through applied innovation within our Singularity Sectors.”
Juergen Eck, PhD, is an entrepreneur, biotechnology pioneer, inventor and owner of more than 50 patents and patent applications. He was co-founder and until recently CEO and CTO of BRAIN AG, a leading European industrial biotechnology company active in the field of enzymes, high-performance microorganisms and bioactive natural products for food and feed, cosmetics and industrial applications. He is currently active as a board member of BIO Deutschland (Society for Biotechnological Industry Germany), board member of DECHEMA (Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology) and member of the board of trustees of the MPI (Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology).
Felix Reiff is an innovation-driven executive in the Life Sciences sector and the FMCG industry. He is President of the Board of Directors of Bayer (Schweiz) AG, President of the Board of Directors of Bayer CropScience AG, and CEO of Bayer Consumer Care AG. Felix is responsible for Bayer’s international hub in Switzerland, known for its innovation management and its leading global role in the company’s steady growth. Between 2018 and 2019, he served as Country President of Bayer in Switzerland and Head of the Swiss Country Leadership Team. Felix joined Bayer in 2005 as Head of Global Marketing of the Bayer Consumer Health Division. Prior to joining Bayer, Felix was CMO of Roche’s Consumer Health Division. Before that he held various senior marketing and commercial roles at Kraft Jacobs Suchard (today Mondelez) across Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, and Germany.
André Hugentobler is Global Innovation Director CASE at Trinseo. He is an expert in growth and innovation strategies and business development in the field of Advanced Materials. He develops the company’s innovation strategy for CASE applications and leads the innovation group with the goal of driving new product solutions. His areas of expertise include water-based polymers, nanomaterials and synthetic rubber. Prior to Trinseo, he held various management positions at The Dow Chemical Company.
